Every single woman in the world is going to go through what is known as the change of life”. It is just part of the life of a woman and let’s face it … the substitute is dying, so a menopause symptom doesn’t seem that bad.
Unfortunately, dealing with the these overwhelming biological imperatives is never easy. For some women, it can mean years filled with unpleasant and highly stressful changes. Perhaps one of the most “popular” and well recognized changes is the “hot flash.” The hot flash is the feeling of suddenly being way too hot. It will make your face flush and your body sweat. If you haven’t ever had a problem with sleeping peacefully for many hours and are suddenly having a hard time staying asleep, and you're in your 40s or 50s, it is possible that you could be going through menopause. Hot flashes and night sweats often accompany the inability to stay asleep. A lot of the time this particular symptom gets misdiagnosed as just some simple sleeping problem.
If you or your loved one suddenly appears anxious or irritable it could be a sign of menopause. Suicide rates in menopausal women are higher than in those not yet experiencing the change due to overwhelming feelings of dread or impending doom. Women who experience these sensations may mistake them for true panic attacks. When these changes don't appear to have a known cause, or occur suddenly and without an obvious reason, it is possible that you've begun the process of hormonal changes that begins in middle age. Use every resource you've to maintain your composure and don't take your negative feelings too seriously.
A woman may also suddenly have the agonizing experience of watching her clothes get tighter and tighter - until they don’t fit anymore. This is truly depressing, especially in a society that values a slim body so highly. The culprit in this weight explosion is hormonal changes that occur so rapidly and have such strong effects. The weight goes on easily and comes off hard.
Females go through two periods in their lives when change is huge, fast and almost overwhelming. The first time is in puberty when girls transform into women. The second major change when is child-bearing ends. In truth, men have similar changes but they’re not as well publicized.
